LCA Food 2024 took place in Barcelona from 8 to 12 September 2024 where SAE2SEE partner ANFACO presented the project with a poster featuring the octopus fishery use case in the Algarve and the methodology that ANFACO are following for conducting an environmental Life Cycle Analysis. The LCA Food conference is one of the leading international events on life cycle assessment for food systems. It addresses environmental, social and economic aspects through the assessment of LCSA (the sustainability aspect under the umbrella of LCA). The conference included papers on gaps in environmental footprint databases, land-use change assessment, comparative studies and databases. It brought together professionals from academia, public sector, and industry from around the world. It is the leading forum for improving LCA methodologies for food systems worldwide.
