Our team sharing the passion for balanced diversity in aquaculture

SEA2SEE partners SEAentia, Landing Aquaculture BV and NAYS presented the project at Aquaculture Europe 2023 trade fair and conference that took place in Vienna, Austria from 18 to 21 September.

This year’s edition counted on big presence of EU-funded projects. SEA2SEE combined forces with four similar projects – EUMOFA, SAFE and FishEUTrust – with a joint booth at the trade show, to welcome participants and share their various approaches to accelerating growth and sustainability in the EU aquaculture.  The stand offered great opportunities for valuable networking, keeping the team busy with diligently addressing topics related to the importance of increasing stakeholders’ trust, transparency and traceability across the supply chain in seafood industry, in general, and aquaculture specifically.

A 3-day conference ran in parallel to the exhibition, offering a total of 11 themed sessions covering the entire spectrum of European aquaculture scientific disciplines and species, and gathering the aquaculture community in a discussion about diversification in a well-balanced way, considering matters like area specificities, natural resources availability, social realities and circular economy needs.
