Demonstrators: Diversomare S.L. – a Spanish distribution company and the Ecuador canning company Asiservy S.A.

Species: tuna from capture fisheries, canned and imported to Ukraine and Belarus.

Current traceability challenges:

• confirm and inform of species and species origin (fishing grounds)
• limited transparency offered to the client
• stability of suppliers and raw material
• sustainability of fishery

Current traceability methods: The canning company uses SAP; The distribution company uses Holded.

Potential via Sea2See: provide transparency on the origin of the raw material used by the canning company in Ecuador, adding value to the product, and assuring quality to the European distributor, who will use the traceability options to secure final clients. It would also support the Certification process of both the supplier and the distribution companies.
